The Kentucky Association of Sexual Assault Programs, Inc. (KASAP) is the statewide coalition of the 13 rape crisis centers in the Commonwealth.

The mission of KASAP is to speak with a unified voice against sexual victimization. In support of this mission KASAP provides technical assistance, facilitates collaboration, promotes public awareness, and develops, promotes, and monitors public policy.

 Bill Passed to Prevent Polygraphing of Victims Minimize
Senate Bill 151, signed by Gov. Steve Beshear, prohibits mandatory polygraphing of alleged sex offense victims. The legislation brings Kentucky into compliance with federal guidelines for receiving nearly $1.6 million annually in STOP Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Formula Grants. These grants are distributed by the Cabinet to agencies throughout the Commonwealth that serve victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Click here to read more.

COPS Office and National Center for Victims of Crime release Teen Action Toolkit .
The U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Community Oriented Policing (COPS Office) and the National Center for Victims of Crime have released the Teen Action Toolkit: Building a Youth-led Response to Teen Victimization . The toolkit is a resource for educators, law enforcement personnel, outreach workers, victim service providers, youth workers, teens, and others who might be interested in starting a youth-led effort to improve local policies, outreach, and services for adolescent crime victims. It includes handouts and exercises that can be used in working with teens.
